Continental Societies, Inc.
The
Continental Societies, Inc. is a public service organization
dedicated to the socio-economic and cultural welfare of
underprivileged children and youth. The organization was
organized in 1956 and incorporated nationally in 1972. It
embraces 42 chapters in various states, the District of Columbia
and Bermuda. Through outreach programs such as educational,
cultural and recreational projects and volunteerism, Continental
women everywhere strive to adhere to the humanitarian precept of
sharing with those in need, especially children.

Some of the many programs in chapters across the nation include
shoe funds, sweater projects, camp experiences for inner city
youth. The Continentals donate funds to provide a broad range
of educational and cultural enrichment through scholarships and
recreational field trips. Continentals consistently volunteer
their time to develop programs, assist schools, youth centers,
pediatric wards, homes for delinquent youth an provide many
other related activities to children.
